What Is An Organisation

An organisation is just a collection of buildings and teams that you ‘own’ for a purpose. Building a organisation uses the same basic rules as building a stronghold, although you need to agree your developments with whoever ‘owns’ the land before you go ahead.

Buildings fall into a series of classifications. If you invest enough (to get 10 Economy Points) in one class of building, you will get a bonus. Classifications include

  • Civic – next to no economic return but very good for the community.
  • Religious – Good for churchmen, good community benefits and hidden economic benefit.
  • Military - All about defending your holdings with next to no economic return.
  • Academic – Knowledge / Education related with a low business return, good community return
  • Commercial – All about selling stuff, good economic returns with some community return.
  • Manufacturing - All about making stuff, good economic returns with little community return.
  • Marine – all about the water, good economic returns with some community return.
  • Merchant – all about moving goods around, good economic returns with next to no community return.
  • Residential - Wanna be a landlord? Good economic returns with little community return.
  • Social – Entertainment for the masses - Good economic returns with some community return.

Consortium

Two, or more, investors can choose to pool their resources to set up a consortium. This means that, if the consortium invest wisely, that you can reach the 'Bonus Point' of the Economy Points from one class of building more quickly. However, you need to discuss / negotiate / decide how those bonus points are distributed between you.
