Olegs Trading Post

Oleg’s Trading Post is located at the southern edge of Brevoy. To the south, the green line of the Narlmarches looms only a few miles away. Owned and operated by a stern and somewhat unimaginative man named Oleg Leveton and his wife Svetlana, the trading post’s remote location and inconvenient distance from a major river has prevented it from realizing significant financial success. Oleg and Svetlana have spent the past few months rebuilding the old fort, most recently with help from Henry de le Maistre and his band. Their customers are few and far between, consisting mostly of trappers, hunters, and an eccentric local hermit named Bokken, but the trade in furs, jerky, and the occasional magic potion from Bokken are just about enough to keep them in business.

  1. Oleg & Svetlana’s House.
  2. Lodging House – 8 beds available to travellers and guests for a small fee.
  3. Storage Shed
  4. Stables – One stall is for Oleg’s Horse but there are four others.
  5. NW Tower – Used by Henry’s Adventuring Bands
  6. NE Tower – Henry’s Tower. Currently occupied by Bai Kao as Henry’s representative
  7. SE Tower – Guard Tower. Home to Keston Garess and his men.
  8. SW Tower – Home to those ex-bandits who have so far elected to stay at Olegs. Pru, David, Rusty and Anderson.

The towers have two floors, each with a 7' ceiling but no windows. The room on the lower floor has an earth floor and a ladder leading to the upper floor and you can light it by leaving the door open. The walls are made of logs set vertically into the ground, however, previous occupants have stuffed the cracks with mud, moss and even bits of old material.

The Graveyard
The graveyard is surrounded by a newly planted hedge of fruiting bushes and small trees. One day the home of the dead will be teaming with life in the form of small animals, birds and insects. One of the graves is marked with the name Moto Trema and has a large sword embedded in the stone.

The Corral
Fenced area suitable for horses and other similar creatures.

The Bathing Pool
Away from the main site, about half a mile along the trail, there is a fairly secluded pool suitable for bathing. It is large enough to accommodate a dozen people at once, deep enough to swim (just about) and kept clean by the small stream that flows through it.
