Western Telida

Overview
The southern coastline is mountainous with few landing points, but as you travel north, the mountains give way, first to hills and plains, and then dense forest. The plains and hills has long been the home of The Tannery League, while the forest is an stronghold of the Elves.

The Tannery League

Tannery was once a region of tribal lands, filled with villages and small holdings, each swearing allegiance to a local chieftain. Small feuds and cattle rustling kept the land divided for years, until three like minded chieftains came together. They saw that the feuding was holding them back, and that if they worked together they could all benefit - so they called in a priest of Abadar and swore and oath to work together. The between them they subdued and took oaths from many of surrounding chieftains - soon each was the Liege to many lesser chieftains, and they each took the title of Duke – and allowed their chieftains to become Lords. Seeing their success others took control of their area’s and petitioned to join the Tannery League – and the Dukes followed the advice of Abadar and allowed it. Together they grew even stronger, wealthier and more secure.

Now the league consists of

Arch-Duchies
Serise (A large agricultural state west of the city)
Krote (A large agricultural state north of the city) WesternTelida-Krote
Momir (A large agricultural state south of the city)

Principality
The Faran Islands (A string of rocky islands alongs the coast - one small Port city and many fishing villages)

Baronies
Dinasgate (at the end of the Berhof pass)

These are smaller states around the periphery under the auspices of a local baron - they aren't quite big enough to be worth an Electorate in The Hann Empire, although they do get representation at the tannery Council.
